Classical Regency Inspired Ceiling Roses
PLASTERWORK, CLASSICAL
An interpretation of a historic ceiling rose for a Classical Regency townhouse interior restoration. The larger of the two roses is 3m in diameter, the outline of which was visible on the historic plasterwork once the modern paintwork was stripped away. Sadly, no photographic evidence or records were found to interpret it directly, so we chose design features inspired by the rest of the property, whilst embellishing it with some of our own invention. A wreath of oak leaves and acorns forms the large outer ring, while dog roses and beech leaves decorate the centre. Beautifully made and installed by Ornate Interiors.
